IFS vs. SFA

Notice how the rear passenger side tire is off the ground when little flex would be needed to put the tire on the ground and give traction. Once again with an open differential, all the power going to the rear is wasted. What happens if the front has little or no traction? You can become stuck much easier.
As you can see clearance is another thing IFS lacks in.


This is a stock cherokee. Look at the difference in flex between it and the previous Liberty pictures

Here is a pic of a highly modified scout. Even with the best kits available for independant suspensions, flex like this is unattainable.
